Connexion Health Now Serves General Fitness with New Kiosk Installation

Connexion Health will install its AI-powered walk-in health screening kiosks in North America’s largest indoor sports complex. A new agreement with Spooky Nook Sports near Lancaster, Pa., is Connexion’s first such partnership with a fitness center. Its previous clients range from elite sports to healthcare.

The Connexion kiosk is built to be the “iPhone of health care” with multiple applications possible on its AI platform. Fusionetics+ was the first such functionality, conducting movement efficiency evaluations and injury risk analysis. Connexion Health is a portfolio company of Aspire Ventures, whose adaptive AI platform, A2I, and sensor technology provide the basis for all applications. The Sacramento Kings were the first Connexion NBA clients.

“By combining Connexion’s artificial intelligence with best-in-class applications, our new strategic agreement with Spooky Nook Sports allows us to deliver a truly transformative experience to a key segment of the population,” said Steve Dailey, CEO of Connexion Health, in a statement. “The insights and action plans we’ll deliver will result in faster, more accurate, and actionable outcomes for Spooky Nook’s members and visitors, leading to better overall health and wellness.”

Spooky Nook Sports is a recreational facility with more than 700,000 square feet of indoor space and 50 acres of outdoor fields. Connexion will assess users’ physical status while also offering corrective exercises in real time.

Democratization of sports technology began in earnest back in 2017 and continues with additional rollouts such as this one. Connexion Health’s kiosk is sophisticated enough for NBA players, so its insights will undoubtedly help fitness enthusiasts and weekend warriors alike who don’t have the same access to skilled trainers and physical therapists.
