There are currently two Gatorade Sports Science Institute locations, one being the headquarters in Barrington, Ill. and a satellite performance laboratory at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla.
But as Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones alluded to last week, there there may be a third on the way — and it could be right in his backyard.
At a Dallas Business Journal event last week, Jones informally announced the Gatorade partnership and a new Sports Science Institute, which may soon be added to the Baylor Scott and White Sports Therapy Research Facility at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The Star, which is the Cowboys’ new headquarters, is a mixed-use facility with an indoor football stadium it shares with area high school teams, retail shops, a medical center and other attractions. Earlier this summer, the franchise along with Baylor Scott and White Health started construction on a sports medicine research facility that will open in early 2018.
Jones told the Dallas Business Journal that the partnership with Gatorade will help make the facility the “the safest place in the country” for sports. A spokesman for the Cowboys told the Dallas Morning News that an announcement will be made when more details become available.
Over the last 30 years, the Gatorade Sports Science Institute laboratories have focused on clinical research in the areas of physiology, exercise sensory, biochemistry and exercise science.
