The Dallas Mavericks have added three new streaming platforms where their fans can experience exclusive content.
One of these three systems is Roku, allowing fans to watch behind-the-scenes videos of coaches and players, long-form content like the 2011 NBA Championship Parade and highlights from previous games.
“We want our fans to have access to Mavs content where they are, and within any platform they’re using,” Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said in a statement. “Adding Roku to our repertoire adds another piece to the fan experience puzzle.”

To access this content, Roku users can search for the Dallas Mavericks in the search box and subscribe to the channel using the “gomavs” code.
The other two platforms the Mavericks are offering are live streaming app live.ly and music video community app musical.ly. The Mavs are also the fist NBA team to utilize these apps.
Both apps allow the Mavericks to showcase the players’ personalities.
Live.ly is used to showcase the Mavericks’ practices and pre-game warmups, and there has been an average of 15,000-20,000 views per stream, according to the team.
The users of the musical.ly app will receive notifications when the Mavs are online and can watch them sing, dance and overall show their lighter side.
The Mavericks are the first NBA team to sign on with musical.ly, and the deal comes after the Pittsburgh Steelers did so in September, as the app is popular with musical artists and entertainers.
musical.ly and live.ly can be downloaded through the App store on iPhone or the Google Play store on Android.
