DICK’S Sporting Goods Strikes Tech Partnership With US Youth Soccer


DICK’S Sporting Goods announced a partnership Thursday between its DICK’S Team Sports HQ youth sports platform and US Youth Soccer. DICK’S Team Sports HQ’s goal is to revolutionize the world of youth sports. For now, it will provide technological support in the form of a mobile app and league websites, uniforms and sponsorships and donations.

The mobile app provides a better way for coaches and parents to communicate as well as a detailed schedule with alerts on upcoming events.

With US Youth Soccer, the largest member of the United States Soccer Federation, DICK’S will hope to increase participation and will serve as the presenting sponsor at the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.

“With all the entertainment options available to young people such as video games, TV and social media, organized sports are challenged to provide a better experience to grow the game,” US Youth Soccer CEO Chris Moore said in a statement. “Therefore, we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to partner with DICK’S, whose strong brand will not only help elevate and enhance the player experience at our ‘crown jewel,’ the National Championship Series, but will enable our members to better administer the sport through the DICK’S Teams Sports HQ platform.”

Along with playing a big role in the National Championship Series, DICK’S has helped to create the first US Youth Soccer State Association Leadership Summit, to be held this September in San Diego.
