Darren Sproles, the Philadelphia Eagles running back, has invested in a sportswear company called Enerskin, which makes athletic clothing that hybridizes taping and compression.
Sproles first started using Enerskin’s products to prepare for the start of the 2015-2016 NFL season. He used the knee sleeves and found that they helped protect his knees, hamstrings, and calves during training camp. Now, Sproles has gotten the opportunity to be a brand ambassador for this company that helped improve his performance.

Sproles said, “As an athlete, taking care of my body is the top priority. Wearing Enerskin gives me the confidence and ability to push my body harder, knowing that the combination of compression and taping supports my joints and muscles from fatigue, preventing injuries and optimizing my performance.”
Enerskin’s clothing uses a combination of compression material and silicone taping to create a unique line of athletic sportswear. Essentially, it kills two birds with one stone: the taping material sewn into the fabric is placed in such a way as to help support joints, while the compression fabric helps to improve blood circulation and prevent muscles from fatiguing easily—and this all comes in one piece of clothing.
Enerskin, which was started in 2005, was popular among Asian Olympic and professional athletes before it expanded its reach to the United States in October of this year. They sell a range of performance products that cover all major body parts for both men and women.
Enerskin’s products are not only convenient, but also quite revolutionary—they allow athletes to skip being taped up by a trainer, because it is built into their compression clothing. Here’s to Sproles helping to extend their reach in the United States and elsewhere.
