ESPN Viewers Using Apple TV Can Now Binge Watch 4 Streams At Once

The ESPN app for Apple TV now features tvOS MultiCast, allowing users to watch up to four live streams concurrently, the first time ESPN has allowed for multi-screen capabilities in its history.

Viewers can choose how many live streams they want on their screen — between one and four — in five different layouts to choose from, while also having the ability to choose between their primary video and audio stream at any point.

ESPN senior VP of digital product, design and audience development Ryan Spoon told Variety that there is an exclusive deal with Apple TV, for now, because “Apple TV has capabilities to do this that other platforms don’t have.”

ESPN is also releasing its newest update to its iOS and Android app, highlighted by a new “Watch” feature that parses down live-streams based on a user’s favorite teams, according to Variety.
