Fluendo, a Barcelona based company, creates software solutions to improve training and communication through the use of videos. We previously covered how Fluendo is providing teams with their video analysis software called LongoMatch that allows players and teams to prepare and practice techniques by performing real-time analysis on videos. The program comes with a software installer, enhanced statistics, collaborative analysis, OS recognition supported by Mac, Linux, Windows and other platforms, Fluendo’s ONEPLAY high-quality video components and professional training and support.

Now, Fluendo released a new version of LongoMatch, PRO 1.1, to be easier to use. LongoMatch now allows eight videos to be uploaded and multiple angles can be added to the project. There is also a new zoom function to capture more details. With LongoMatch PRO 1.1, users can use the new tagging feature to create custom events or to add descriptions. Tags can be positioned, sized and colored the way the users want.

Other new features included are the XML import and export function. The import allows users to add external materials into a project. Users can use the export feature to create an Excel spreadsheet document with their project information.

Amateur and professional sports teams worldwide find it to be helpful with training. “LongoMatch is a great tool to increase the communication between my athletes. I send video files exported from LongoMatch to the players and every week, they choose which events they want to discuss with their teammates,” said soccer video analyst, Michele Santoni.

LongoMatch PRO 1.1 is making it easier for coaches and athletes to communicate and analyze plays. For those that are interested, LongoMatch is offering a free 30-day trial.
