Odds are, if you are into fitness, you are into tracking performance. Until now, tracking performance of cycling, swimming, and other fitness activities has been next to impossible. Enter Flyfit.
With the new smart watches like the Nike Fuel Bands, Jawbone sleep tracker and much more, wearable tech has been all the rage lately. There are devices that measure overall fitness (Nike Fuelband), Pedometers, sleep trackers, and others. But, there has yet to be an all-encompassing device that measures all types of fitness in addition to sleep.
Flyfit, a new product worn around the ankle, has a wide array of features:
• Daily Activity: walking, running, cycling & stair types of fitness
• Sleep: number of hours and quality
• Swim: leg strokes
By tracking leg movement instead of wrist movement like existing fitness trackers, Flyfit is able to differentiate step, stair, and cycling movement automatically with “gesture recognition technique.” In addition, Flyfit is completely waterproof, meaning you can use it in the pool or in the pouring rain.
With the Bluetooth/BLE technology, the device can sync with the user’s phone to provide unique data. Flyfit measures all of the following when synced with a smart phone:
– Swim
– Sleep Condition
– Stair
– Jogging
– Steps
– Step Speed
– Step Distance
– Calories Burnt
– Bike Distance
– Bike Speed
– Real-time GPS
– Pedal Cycles
– RPM Cadence
With Flyfit’s technology, it syncs with your phone and displays performance in real time. When swimming, it can track leg strokes and also tell you average speed and calories while running.
