GuardLab, Patriot League Team Up To Provide 3D Printed Mouthguards For Athletes

Custom mouthguard supplier, GuardLab, and the Patriot League are teaming up to better protect student-athletes. They announced a multi-year partnership Thursday which will increase protection, performance benefits and recovery for the league’s member institutions.

What makes GuardLab special is its use of 3D printing technology in creating a custom mouthguard. Each is crafted using a Alignment Repositioning Cushion (ARC) so that student-athletes get a mouthguard that aligns with their jaw to provide optimal protection.

Since GuardLab’s technology is mobile, the company will be able to travel to each Patriot League school and provide custom fitting. Not only is each mouthguard designed specifically for each athlete, they can also come customized with the team’s logo, colors and graphics.

“We are proud to partner with GuardLab, a company whose mission to aid in the safety and performance of athletes is very much aligned with the values of our League,” Patriot League commissioner Jennifer Heppel said in a statement. “The technology they can provide will be a great benefit to the student-athletes at our member institutions.”

This won’t be GuardLab’s first partnership with a college athletic conference as the company just finished its second season as official partner of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
