Die-hard University of Kentucky sports fans as of Friday were able to watch their Wildcats whenever they want. UK Athletics launched the free UK Sports Network Apple TV app, the athletic department announced this week.
In partnership with SportsLabs, UK Athletics’ official digital partner, the new app will give fans free access to on-demand video including highlights, press conferences, hype videos and other various features from the school’s 22 sports.
It is the first university athletics app to provide 100 percent free content to fans on Apple TV. Fans can simply access the app through the App Store on Apple TV. In November, University of Oklahoma athletics launched its SoonerSports2Go app for Apple TV that provided content for subscribers to SoonerSports.tv.

Kentucky’s content is from the Kentucky Wildcats TV and UK Sports Network, which is powered by collegiate sports marketing firm and multi-media rights partner of UK Athletics JMI Sports.
Other prior partners for SportsLabs, which is a Silver Chalice company, have included the College Football Playoff, University of Texas, University of Notre Dame and University of Wyoming, to name a few.
