Kitman Labs Joins Forces With Australia’s National Rugby League Teams

Kitman Labs will deploy its injury management software and services to the Australian National Rugby League organization to help teams advance athlete performance.

The Irish company will develop a national program designed to enhance performance and help coaches understand the factors that lead to injuries. It will monitor players, quantify injury and performance metrics, and keep trainers up to date of the status of their players.

“International rugby league is the pinnacle of a player’s career and it is important that the on- and off-field support matches that status,” Troy Thomson, the NRL’s head of performance, said in a statement.

The program will expand across the league’s various age groups, from schoolboys who attend its international camps to professional players. It will enable the league to “make the most of the limited time” it has with younger players during international camps and deliver real-time health and performance data about seasoned pros, said Thomson.
