L.A. Clippers Provide Mobile Ticket Buyers With Interactive Seat Selection

As the NBA regular season approaches, fans are flocking to the internet to lock down their tickets. The Los Angeles Clippers are giving their fans a little extra something when they go to buy single game tickets.

Using FanSight, created and powered by ticketing solutions provider AXS, fans will be able to see a 360-degree 3D view from the seat they are considering. This newly developed interactive seating selection is the only 3D, customized viewing experience where users can actually see the view they will have before choosing and purchasing their exact seat. And it’s a product that’s optimized for mobile devices.

“Today’s fans expects more when they purchase tickets, and don’t want to sacrifice anything when using their mobile phones,” AXS CEO Bryan Perez said in a statement. “With FanSight, we are delivering an industry-first experience, giving customers the most realistic view of what to expect at the event from the seats they are considering and the ability to make an educated and fun purchase.”

FanSight offers two views: bird’s-eye view and a view from each individual seat. When trying to decide on a seat, users can zoom into their selected seat through the “View From Seat” map. Able to look in all directions, fans will be able to see their seat’s placement in relation to the scoreboards, screen, players benches and more.

The Clippers are the first NBA team to introduce this technology.

“The Clippers are focused on enhancing our fan experience and purchasing a ticket is one of the first touchpoints a fan may have with our brand,” Gillian Zucker, Clippers President of Business Operations, said in a statement. “AXS will provide fans with the most accurate view from a seat for a Clippers game, with a promise to bring to life an NBA game the way no other team — or ticket platform — in the league does.”
