The Xbox One already has a significant amount of health and fitness related features thanks to the optimal Kinect motion tracker. But could Microsoft be planning to release new fitness tech? Apparently so, in the form of a wearables.

According to Gizmodo, the new wearable fitness tracker is designed to sync with an Xbox One and could potentially work with existing fitness apps on the console. That is interesting because while the Kinect motion tracker is claimed to be sensitive enough to monitor a user’s heart rate, the new wearable can push readings to be even more accurate.

The new technology is speculated for a 2015 release alongside other new products developed by the software giant.

Adding new features to the Xbox One is not a bad thing at all.

In fact, these added options can separate Microsoft from the competition; and this new wearables can be the deciding factor for potential customers living in an increasingly digitized world, where fitness is tracked regularly. The new sync feature can be a revolutionary tool for gamers in order to keep track of their vital readings and also take their Xbox Fitness regimen with them, while they are away from their console.
