With the World Baseball Classic semifinal between USA and Japan at 9pm EST tonight and the championship game tomorrow at the same time, PlayStation Vue is taking advantage of the powerhouse matchup and partnering with MLB Network to provide exclusive coverage.
MLB Network will be available in PlayStation Vue’s Core plan starting at $34.99. However, the following cities will be priced at $44.99: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, and Miami.
PlayStation Vue has made major recent programming moves with live sports content partnerships. In November, PlayStation Vue launched a channel for NBA TV. Last July, NFL Media announced its agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment to distribute NFL Network and NFL RedZone programming via PlayStation Vue in time for the beginning of the regular season. This month, the Sony service is streaming three March Madness games on one screen.
