MLS MatchDay is the perfect app for soccer fans. Available in the app store, it has numerous different sections within it that bring fans closer to the game.

When opening MLS MatchDay for the first time, users are given the option of selecting a favorite international club (United States or Canada) as well as a favorite MLS club. Fans can set notifications for breaking news, new videos, lineups, match start, half, end, goals scored, misconduct calls, and substitutes for each match.

The app’s homepage features the latest news and videos from around the league. The news stories range from game previews to player injuries, and each story includes a high quality photo. The homepage gives soccer fans the ability to check the latest news from around the league.

The first side tab on the app is the Schedules and Scores tab. This section gives you weekly scores of all MLS matches that Canada and the United States play. The app also gives users the option to view only MLS match results.

Clicking on each game score opens a new page where users have the option of viewing a full replay of the match, a condensed replay, match highlights, play-by-play, box score, and team line ups. Users can also read the game’s preview to analyze the match up. This section allows fans who missed a game or wanted to relive their team’s win the chance to re-watch full soccer matches at home or on the go.

There is also a Standings tab, which enables users to compare where their favorite MLS team is in the league standings for both the eastern and western divisions.

The most unique aspect of the MLS MatchDay app that no other app has is the AT&T Goal of the Week tab. A video is posted to the app each week that highlights five impressive goals from MLS players. Each week fans can log on to the website provided and pick which goal they believe should be the goal of the week. This gets MLS fans involved in the action in a new and clever way.

Another interesting aspect of the app is the Clubs tab. Users have the option to click on any MLS team and be redirected to a page dedicated to that team. From there, the page highlights the latest team news and displays their next opponent and what day and time the match is. This section also allows fans to view their favorite teams’ schedule, roster, twitter account, and videos. The incorporation of teams twitter accounts is something that many apps are including, and the MLS MatchDay app is staying up to par.

Users of MLS MatchDay also have the option to view MLS Live on the app. MLS Live allows subscribers to view up to 230 MLS matches per year.

It is digital products like this that will help to continue the MLS’ increasing popularity. Whether relaxing at home or on the go, MLS fans can take their favorite soccer teams with them on the MLS MatchDay app.
