When you first get your driver’s license, you are constantly reminded to be extremely careful on the roads. You need to look out for other drivers, pedestrians, not play your music too loudly, and never text and drive. You hear this when you are 16 years old and then again and again and again throughout your entire life.
NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer has been promoting the new HighwayHero app from Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. that helps drivers be more aware of their bad driving habits and gives them tips on how to improve.
“This is a must-have for any parent,” Bowyer told FOXSports.com. “It literally scores your driving. It tracks your driving. All these things that it does are great safety tools for everybody.”

HighwayHero automatically detects when the driver starts and stops driving by using phone sensors to measure the vehicle’s driving dynamics.
It displays trip summaries, maneuvers, details and then provides feedback for the driver on how they can improve their driving skills.
“It’s really, really cool,” Bowyer told the website. “We’ve been having a lot of fun with it within my organization and my team guys. It does so much, if you really get down to the nuts and bolts of it. There are so many good uses for it.”
Crazy how accurate it is. Gotta get my score up a little bit, I was a little hard on the loud peddle. Download it y’all, it’s safe and fun! https://t.co/4BcwB3wGLS
