New England Patriots Wide Receiver Julian Edelman Has His Own Personal App

Theres an app for everything Julian Edelman needs, and it was built in less than three days.

The New England Patriots wide receiver recently worked with no-code app development software platform, Zudy, to develop and create his personal app, which he can update himself in real-time.

With Vinyl, Zudy’s product, Edelman can manage his personal brand (JE11), monitor real estate ventures, keep tabs on his personal appearances and stay current with statistics on the field. He can even follow merchandise sales on his personal website.

For Zudy, designing and building apps for athletes or celebrities doesn’t mesh with its traditional business model of working with enterprise corporations, but that all changed last year. Trish Kennedy, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Zudy, struck up a conversation with Edelman at a fundraising event with the Patriots, who Zudy also previously worked with to develop a luxury suite management app for both the team and suite holders. After Edelman learned more about the Miami-based company and how the technology could better organize his life and football career, the two got to work.

“The beauty of what we build is it’s so easy to add to it on the fly,” Kennedy said. “If Julian calls me up and says, ‘I really need to start integrating with another system or get information about average salaries of all the wide receivers for contract negotiations’, it’s literally 10 minutes that I could give him access to this.”

According to Edelman in a promotional video for Zudy, the “digital transformation is all around us” and as a result, staying current with the modern digital era is a focal point for Edelman as he manages his brand on and off the field.

“We all need apps to transform. … We all want a competitive advantage. Zudy gives me that advantage to build apps that digitize my world,” he added in the video.
