Fans know all about football players on the field and how they perform in games. But knowing how a player lives his life off the field is not as easily accessible or understandable. Fortunately, for the die-hard fans there is now a new documentary series called “Digital Diaries,” which will follow the lives of NFL players outside the gridiron.

Digital Diaries will be brought to fans by a partnership between Torrential Inc., Horizon Media, and Mandt Bros. Production. Torrential is a mobile video platform; Horizon Media is the fastest growing privately-held media service agency in the world; and  Mandt Bros., co-produced “Million Dollar Arm,” with Disney.

Digital Diaries is intended to be a fast-paced mobile original series that is available to football fans on-the-go via smartphones and tablets. One of the main sources to view the content is through the Torrential TV app and through Torrential.tv. However, other sports apps such as Cinesport, Sporting News, Dailymotion Sports, Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, and MSN will also have the ability to showcase the production.

With mobile video content consumption increasing, especially by NFL Fans, in a society that is “always-on”, Digital Diaries is lined up to sync with NFL fan’s pre-established habits.

“Mobile-first content is where marketers want to go, and we’re going to help take them there,” said Doug McCurdy, Co-Founder and President at Torrential, in a press release. “We’re bringing content, technology and advertising together to make this mobile video market much as we did in the early days of online video.”

Fans can expect a new episode of the series on a weekly basis. The first episode aired November 14th and featured Justin Tuck of the Oakland Raiders.
