A new docuseries chronicling Giants superstar receiver Odell Beckham Jr. throughout the 2018 NFL season premiered today on Facebook Watch. The series is being produced in partnership with Uninterrupted, the digital media company co-founded by LeBron James.
The 16 episodes of I AM MORE: OBJ will appear each Friday during the season and will cover Beckham’s life both in football and off the field. In addition to the weekly programming on Facebook Watch, the 25-year-old will offer postgame thoughts on Facebook Live, do Q&A’s on his group page, and periodically contribute additional behind-the-scenes content on Instagram.
Beckham signed the richest contract for any wide receiver in NFL history in August, a five-year deal worth a guaranteed $65 million and upwards of $95 million with incentives. Among the expected topics are his rehab from last year’s ankle injury, his preparation for game day, his family, and his interest in fashion. He has been featured in GQ, Sports Illustrated named him the most fashionable athlete in 2018, and he has his own collection at Bloomingdale’s.
“My love for this game should never be questioned, nor do I take the game of football for granted. I want to share my grind with my fans in a way I haven’t done before,” Beckham said in a statement. “Uninterrupted and Facebook will show my life as more than an athlete.”

What’s most notable about this media partnership is that Uninterrupted is using several of Facebook’s platforms—Watch, Live, and Instagram—to tell a multi-part story. Beckham is as talented and personable an athlete out there, making him a perfect candidate to launch such an ambitious series.
