Sportradar becomes the “Official Data Partner” of the PBA

The Philippine Basketball Association has appointed Sportradar to be its “Official Data Partner” until the end of the 2020/21 season. Under the terms of the agreement, Sportradar will be granted the right to collect, sell and distribute live scores, stats and other data exclusively to gaming companies and on a non-exclusive basis to media outlets.

The agreement will see Sportradar collect and distribute data of all three major conferences: the PBA Philippine Cup, the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, and the PBA Governor’s Cup, as well as the PBA D-League, PBA All-Star Game and all pre- and post-season matches. Sportradar will also be developing an “Official PBA Mobile App” providing PBA fans with the fastest live data and data visualization tools straight to their mobile devices.

“Our league is always looking for ways to serve our fans and create new ones. This partnership with Sportradar will provide PBA fans around the world instant access to PBA scores and statistics including through the official PBA Mobile App. We are excited to see what the next six years will bring!”, said Atty Chito Salud, President of PBA.

Dr. Johannes Ranke, Managing Director, Sports Data & Licensing, added, “The recent months have been hugely encouraging for us in the Asian region and we have managed to secure some exciting and innovative partnerships. And with the PBA, as the second oldest basketball league in the world, we have some exciting projects ahead of us. The passion of the people in Philippines for their basketball is staggering and invigorating and we are confident that the services and products we will develop with the PBA will stoke that passion and take the league and the sport’s engagement to the next level.”
