ScoreStream Delivers Local Sports Scores Through Facebook Messenger

Disseminating high school sports scores has always been a chore — that is until ScoreStream came along. Since its founding in 2012, the company has worked to find new ways of getting you local high school scores. It has established relationships with the Associated Press, Snapchat and a slew of local newspapers, restaurants, TV and radio stations.

ScoreStream has now announced the arrival of a new medium for you to get scores: Facebook Messenger. The thinking is that there is a large group of customers who don’t use a ton of apps, but still want to get scores.

Last week the company received scores from over 15,500 games, so chances are good that they can keep you plugged in to your favorite teams.

All you have to do is visit ScoreStream on Facebook and click “send a message.” From here you can use their menu to search any school you’d like. Once you find the school(s) you’re looking for (chances are good that you will) you have the choice to “follow” and receive timely updates, or simply view the latest scores.

A release from ScoreStream said the following: “while we certainly like fans to use ScoreStream directly when they are following their games, we know that there are a lot of consumers who still struggle to find their high school scores and we wanted to give them an easy way to stay up to date with their high school or their kids high school.”
