ShotTracker, developed by Davyeon Ross and Bruce Ianni, is a wearable technology for basketball that tracks every made, missed, and attempted shot. This technology has just recently reached their 1 millionth shot tracked, a major milestone for the company.
For the past month, ShotTracker has monitored every shot taken in order to countdown to the 1 millionth shot with updates on the “Most Recent Shooter” and “Most Shot Attempts Today”. It was a groundbreaking record for ShotTracker, proving the company is expanding and can scale. The player who shot the 1 millionth shot won a Golden State Warriors Jersey signed by Klay Thompson.
Thompson, the Warrior’s shooting guard, has already partnered with ShotTracker this past summer to launch the first ever Virtual Basketball Camp. The camp used ShotTracker’s technology and Thompson’s basketball techniques to bring a live, elite camp experience to players everywhere. During the week long camp, 178,731 shots were taken, 117,438 shots were made, and a total of 235,000 points were scored.
“The first-of-its kind Virtual Basketball Camp was a huge success and I loved seeing the commitment players made to improve their game in the off season,” Thompson said. “ShotTracker helps players improve their game and holds them accountable – that’s why I believe in the product so much. I look forward to all the new technology ShotTracker is coming out with over the next year.”
ShotTracker works easily. All users have to do is attach the net sensor to any net. It can be indoor or outdoor. Then slide the wrist sensor onto either your wristband or sleeve. Start the app on your phone and begin shooting. The app lets you automatically track all of your shots and then analyze the results instantly with real-time stats and shot charts. The app creates a personal shooting profile for each user.
ShotTracker is being sold now for $149.99. The package includes one net sensor, one wristband, one charging unit and one USB charging cable.
The ShotTracker team is continuing to innovate throughout 2016. Users can expect new updates, product development and partnerships. There will be another virtual camp this month with “Let It Fly” and Mike Miller, two-time NBA World Champion.
Davyeon Ross, COO of ShotTracker stated, “This is only the beginning for ShotTracker. We have a lot of things in the works for this year and beyong. We are so proud of the success to date and we know we wouldn’t be here without our hardworking team, visionary partners and our loyal customers.”
