Sling TV Becomes First Live Streaming Service To Offer NBA League Pass

Displaced NBA fans can now live stream out-of-market games through Sling TV.

Sling became the first live streaming service this week to offer the NBA’s on-demand video service NBA League Pass, which can be added to a user’s Sling Orange, Sling Blue or Sling International subscription for $29 a month.

Through NBA League Pass on Sling TV, subscribers will have access to nearly 1,000 live, out-of-market games that will be in addition to those available on NBA TV, TNT, ABC, ESPN3 and local regional sports channels, which are through a general Sling TV subscription.

The NBA League Pass addition will also give users access to NBA TV.

A cheaper option, for $18 a month, will be Team Pass, which will launch in the coming weeks. League Pass will offer fans access to live regular season games, full game replays and audio broadcasts for one out-of-market team, which they can pick from among the 30 NBA teams.

“By introducing NBA League Pass, along with its Team Pass offering as optional add-ons, we continue to give our customers control over their Sling TV experience,” Ankit Bishnoi, vice president of content and acquisition strategy at Sling TV, said in a statement.

In the future, Sling TV says it plans to add on-demand content from NBA League Pass.
