Data tracking has been at the center of the newest technologies in sport and is becoming increasingly popular among athletes. For bikers, the amount of equipment used to track data can be a hassle, with multiple devices having to be mounted on a bike.
SpeedForce is trying to change this.
SpeedForce, a new all-in-one device that is easily mounted to the bike to measure 8 different sets of data while riding. Contrary to having a phone mount for navigation, head lamp, and cadence sensor scattered along the bike, SpeedForce gives bikers the most convenient combination of each. The sleek device gives bikers real-time data tracking, navigation, and an application all designed to make each trip easier.
This compact device can be easily mounted to the front of the bike, providing all the data needed for each trip directly in front of the cyclist. It can get riders to and from the destination by simply choosing a route via smartphone.
While riding, SpeedForce tracks your heart rate, altitude, and rotations per minute (RPM’s) among other biking data for each ride. The user can set goals for each trip and SpeedForce provides coaching throughout the ride, telling the biker the optimal times to shift gears to get the most out of each ride.
The data that is tracked from each trip is sent to the connected Speed X app to provide analysis. SpeedX also comes with the capability to share data, get feedback from other users, and learn about fellow biker’s trips. Speedforce also comes with a built in lumen light, and a1.6 inch screen to project the data throughout each ride.
SpeedForce was introduced to IndieGoGo on October 26, 2015 and has already had massive support. The device has surpassed the goal of $20,000 in its short lifetime on the website by raising $138,662. They will start Manufacturing the product this month, and shipping it in March of 2016. The product will sell for $169 retail, but can be bought by backers of the campaign at a few discount levels.
When it hits the market, SpeedForce will aim to give a real improvement to the biking realm, offering a convenient way to enjoy biking. Before this there has not been a high-end product to offer data tracking and analysis, while providing GPS navigation all in one device. The device seems to be a winner for all style bikers. If interested in the product you can donate on their IndieGoGo Page, or visit their website.
