Finding your favorite sports bar of choice in the largest city in the United States is often a challenge. With fans from all teams spread out all over the city it is often a tough task to find fans of your favorite college or professional team.

SportChase is trying to change that with their new website.

SocialChaser Inc. announced the launch of SportChaser.com, a new website designed to help sports fans find bars in New York to watch their favorite teams play.

Football, soccer and tennis fans alike are having the same issue when it comes to finding the right bar to watch their game. The website was launched on October 17th, in New York, and SportChaser.com aims to connect all sports fans by locating which bars are airing their preferred sporting events.

“Sports fans now have the opportunity to find bars broadcasting the game they are looking for that match their expectations. Bars can gain revenues and visibility for every game they broadcast. SportChaser’s goal is really simple: We want to connect sports fans to their game and their community, and bring visibility to bars!” states CEO of SportChaser Amelie Wisniak.

SportChaser also tackles the stereotype that says women are not interested in sports. Its two co-founders, Tamara Prud’homme and Amelie Wisniak, are two young French women and tech-savvy sports fans. Amelie, SportChaser’s CEO, is a big French soccer fan. At the time to watch her team playing (Paris Saint-Germain F.C.-e.d), Tamara suggested they watch it at a bar to enjoy the electric atmosphere emerging from sports fans. Due to the widespread difficulty of finding bars that air foreign or show US local sports teams, the two co-founders decided to launch SportChaser.com.

“We have an ambitious agenda for 2014 which is to launch new features, to release an app and to expend SportChaser to several US cities.” says Tamara Prud’homme, co-founder and COO.

New York City seems to be an ideal starting point for SportChaser as it is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the US with a high bar density.

“We are glad to be a part of the New York tech industry. We have met many people who have given us great advice. Networking is the best way to learn and to avoid making the same mistakes other startups have made in the past” says Amelie Wisniak.

SportChaser is now live in New York City with the goal of connecting fans and making the game watching experience more enjoyable. There have been a few apps out recently with the goal of bringing fans together at bars and it will be interesting to track SportChaser’s progress.
