December 5, 2016, New York City and Minneapolis – The Associated Press and Sportradar, the leading provider of sports data services globally, announced today an expansion of their collaboration that will enable Sportradar to distribute premium AP products such as breaking news, action photos, player headshots and game recaps across 23 sports to its worldwide client base.

“We are pleased to boost the depth of our content solutions with award winning editorial and photos as well as the graphics bank from The Associated Press. The AP will be a premium content offering for our clients around the world,” said Tom Masterman, chief revenue officer, U.S. at Sportradar. “The expansion of our relationship with AP is a testament to our efforts and dedication to serving their member newspapers and the shared vision between AP and Sportradar.”

“We are excited about working more closely with Sportradar to provide AP’s premium sports products to a wider audience,” said Ted Mendelsohn, AP vice president for commercial and digital products. “Our expanded relationship is a win for both AP’s members and customers and Sportradar’s clients.”

In June, AP and Sportradar announced a long-term collaboration for Sportradar to deliver core sports data content to AP’s traditional and digital customer platforms. AP’s 1,400 U.S. daily newspaper members and thousands of television and radio broadcast customers now receive comprehensive sports content from Sportradar, including real-time scores, statistics, box scores, leaderboards, schedules and standings via its industry-leading API.

With an acute focus on technology and development, Sportradar has quickly built an industry reputation for offering the highest-quality data distribution and digital product solutions. The firm is the fastest growing sports content provider in the U.S., having doubled both the number of clients it serves and the size of its staff in the past year.
