Visual Sports, a world-class sports simulator company, brought its newest football simulator, the SwingTrack Mobile, to Canada’s 103rd Grey Cup in Winnipeg. The simulator was a major part of the fan experience zone at the Grey Cup Festival.

The Grey Cup is the championship game of the Canadian Football League and a featured matchup between the Ottawa Redblacks and the Edmonton Eskimos. However, with the game in Winnipeg, Visual Sports created custom software specifically for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Fans attending the event were able to participate at the Blue Bomber Kick and Throw Game. The kick game allows fans to experience the thrill of kicking game-winning field goals and the throw game allows fans to lead a two-minute drill and complete passes in order to win a game. Both the kick and throw games use real sports equipment and track scores in addition to using SwingTrack Mobile’s ability to customize game formats, stadiums, jerseys, and players.

The President of Visual Sports, Peter Muellerchen believes the SwingTrack Mobile is “interactive and engaging which will make it a big hit at the festival and ensure fans will have great memories of their experience for years to come.” The Winnipeg Football Club is also very excited to be working with Visual Sports. Wade Miller, President and CEO of the Winnipeg Football Club says that his team is “always looking for ways to bring more to the fan experience, and Blue Bomber Kick and Throw Game is a fun and interactive way for fans of all ages to enjoy the game.”

For Visual Sports, this is just another deal in a series of commitments made with the top organizations in football. Visual Sports previously brought their football simulators to Super Bowl XLIX, home games of the New England Patriots, and fan experiences at the 2015 Yahoo! Sports National Draft Day and the Nissan Heisman House Tour. The company has been designing and building top of the line simulators and offering unparalleled customer service for over 15 years. Their simulators appear in over 85 countries and are partnered with several industry-leading companies in addition to the sports world such as Pepsi, Disney Cruise Line, and Samsung.

Visual Sports simulators are used for businesses, home use, events, promotions, training, fitness, and attractions. Sports with ties to the simulators extend beyond football and include golf, baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer. The technology of the simulators combines the industry-leading SwingTrack technology with four ultra-high-speed cameras that capture ball speed, trajectory, angle, and flight path.

Combining the SwingTrack Mobile technology with the cameras leads to the incredible accuracy of the simulation and the analysis. Visual Sports’ system captures ball flight data at 2,000 frames per second, which is more than 30x faster than high-definition video.
