CoachCam is a mobile application which allows coaches to take video footage from their smartphone or tablet, mark it up using CoachCam’s telestration tools and then export it as a video clip for use in a team talk or athlete meeting. With CoachCam you can insert highlights, lines, text and you can even cut around a player and move them to demonstrate improved positioning. It has been specifically designed so that it is powerful enough for the professional but simple enough for everyone.
2. Problem and Solution
We (Sport Technology Services) had previously worked with UEFA and our research showed that coaches wanted an analysis communication app that was accessible on their tablet or smartphone, that was easy to use, with instant results and it HAD to be affordable. Simultaneously, the trend on television was for broadcast tools that allowed you to telestrate video clips. We wanted to bring that broadcast style tool to the masses. So CoachCam was born.
Record it. CoachCam it. Share it. That is our moto. It does what it says on the tin. You can record any type of video straight from your device- live or pre-recorded. If it can go on your smartphone or tablet, then it can be coachcam’d.
It takes less than 31 seconds to produce a CoachCam video. It’s the perfect answer to communicating with your player (s) / team – quick, effective and accurate. Videos are exported into an MP4 file so you can share them anywhere once they have been edited. Analysis has never been so easy and cost effective.
