Snapchat and STATS, a sports data and technology company, announced Wednesday their expanded partnership, one that began last October.
As of today, users can share data and statistics beyond just the score for more than 30 leagues, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, English Premier League and others. During the 2016 World Series, Snapchat users had access to the new features and could overlay new data points, such as pitch count, men on base, and the live score.
“Knowing how successful our partnership with Snapchat has been to this point, we are eager to see how users of the popular communication app will engage with the additional differentiated data,” Greg Kirkorsky, Executive Vice President, Sales for STATS, said in a statement. “Snapchat has given us the unique opportunity to see how fans interact with our sports data directly.”

In 2015, together the social media platform and STATS launched scoreboard Geofilters, which featured live sports scores. Through the old partnership, the Geofilters — where users could add real-time scoring updates to their Snaps — were only available to Snapchatters at certain sporting events and venues.
