The first swimming app designed for the Apple Watch, MySwimPro, was recently named the Apple Watch App of the Year, as selected by Apple Store editors.
As a member of the University of Michigan Desai Accelerator 2016 cohort, MySwimPro delivers customized workouts and instructional video content to swimmers, both amateur and advanced, who are trying to achieve their fitness goals. The Apple Watch app syncs with an iPhone app as swimmers can utilize hundreds of workouts based on skill level, stroke and workout length.
“We’re dedicated to helping people who are looking for a personal coaching program that meets their unique schedule and training needs,” said Fares Kesbati, co-founder and CEO of MySwimPro in a statement. “Our app combined with the Apple Watch’s water-resistant technology creates a workout program that fits into any swimmer’s training routine.”

Desai specifically supports ventures like MySwimPro, which is well-beyond an early-stage company but before any external investment. MySwimPro is also advised by University of Michigan alumnus and four-time Olympic medalist, Peter Vanderkaay.
“MySwimPro has impressed us all at Desai with their hard work and dedication to developing their business and reaching out to the global swimming community,” said Kelly LaPierre, Desai Accelerator Managing Director. “They are a shining example of what we hope our teams are able to achieve after they participate in our program.”
