Team Apparel E-Commerce Company OrderMyGear Receives $35 Million Investment

OrderMyGear, a software company providing a platform for group apparel sales, received a $35 million investment from Susquehanna Growth Equity.

CEO Kent McKeaigg founded OrderMyGear to aid his father, Ronnie, with his company selling team sports apparel and equipment in Oklahoma. The software streamlined the process, connecting all the participants of the supply chain and grew from there.

Now headquartered in Dallas with 80 employees, OrderMyGear said its platform hosted almost $200 million in transactions last year covering 100,000 individual group stores and 2,000 team dealers. The company said its headcount could double in the next few years as it grows.

OrderMyGear was a finalist in the 2013 VentureSpur accelerator program and in the Sports & Fitness Industry Association’s inaugural Start-Up Challenge in 2016.

“Whether for sports teams, corporate products, or community events, our solution makes it easier to set up and merchandise an online store, collect payment and coordinate decoration and fulfillment,” McKeaigg said in a press release. “We are thrilled to work with SGE to accelerate investment in our software, provide more valuable products and services to our clients and surface important insights for our brand partners.”

“OrderMyGear is the clear technology leader in the market for group apparel purchases,”  Susquehanna Growth Equity’s Ben Weinberg, who is joining OrderMyGear’s board of directors, added. “The company’s suite of tools is driving a step change in efficiency and automation in the custom apparel industry, which has been slow to adopt technology historically. OrderMyGear is an ideal fit for us. We could not be more excited to join Kent and his team for this next phase of growth.”
