Jordan Spieth captured his first major championship in record fashion. The 21-year old Spieth became the second youngest masters champion, matching the all time lowest Master’s tournament score at 18-under par. Let’s take a look at the high performance equipment Spieth used en route to the green jacket:
  • New Titleist Pro V1x golf ball –  The 2015 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls feature patented thermostat urethane elastomer cover that delivers more short game spin and control, and a softer feel.
  • Titleist 915D2 driver – The wide sole channel delivers more distance by actively flexing at impact to launch the ball off the face with higher speed and lower spin.
  • Titleist 915F fairway metal – The forward positioned channel delivers distance from both tee to turf through higher speed and lower spin.
  • Titleist 915Hd hybrid – The high speed face insert increases ball speed off the face on off-center hits.
  • Titleist AP2 irons – Tour proven profile with progressive weighting, face thickness and sole widths.
  • Titleist Vokey Design SM5 wedges – Increased groove durability from a high frequency face heat treatment for longer spin retention over the life of the wedge.
  • Titleist Scotty Cameron putter – Each model incorporates new multi-material, aircraft-grade aluminum and precision milled 303 stainless steel construction for increased stability and unbelievable forgiveness.

You may be wondering if you are reading about golf clubs, or the newest SpaceX shuttle. Rest assured the equipment is available at golf retailers and will not be an added line item on NASA’s next budget (at least we hope not).
