The New York Yankees Partnered With Orangetheory Fitness

Orangetheory Fitness has become the Official Fitness Center Sponsor of the New York Yankees. The fitness company already has many elite clientele that include professional athletes and celebrities, that work with them to achieve their desired fitness results.

Scott Breault, Director of Marketing at Orangetheory, is excited about the partnership, “Of our current 300,000+ member base, many of them include Olympians, past and present, active athletes in all professional sports… The New York Yankees are arguably the most storied professional sports franchise in the world and the perfect partner to continue our association with elite organizations.”

Orangetheory Fitness is a fitness program that uses heart rate monitored, interval based workouts proven to work by creating target training zones for an individual’s heart rate to stimulate metabolism and increase energy. Orangetheory has a lot of professional athlete and Olympian endorsements already, like track and field Olympian Lolo Jones, and football player Justin Tucker. With the new partnerships, like the Yankees, more athletes and teams are reaching out to join the quickly growing company. They have over 400 studios (more are launched every month) in the US and seven other countries, they hope to open 700 studios by 2017.

The partnership with the Yankees includes an LED sign for Orangtheory at the Stadium and promotional appearances from current and former Yankees players. The Yankees hope to spread the word about Orangetheory. According to Michael J. Tusiani New York Yankees Senior Vice President Corporate Sales and Sponsorships, “We are excited about our sponsorship with Orangetheory Fitness, and hope that its Stadium branding and promotional activation will strengthen its brand awareness in the tri-state area.”

There is yet to be more information released about how the Yankees will use Orangetheory at practice or for their athletes but we will certainly be monitoring this development to see if more teams follow this lead.
