The San Diego Gulls announced that they have partnered with UberEATS and Levy Restaurants to provide Gulls fans an exclusive in-arena concessions delivery experience at the remaining home games for the 2016-17 season.
This partnership makes UberEATS the official food delivery partner of the Gulls and is the first of its kind involving a professional sports team and a facility concessionaire to provide in-seat service coupled with an on-demand food delivery app service provider.
While this is its first ever in-arena partnership, UberEATS did partner with AT&T to provide football fans with UberEATS food at tailgates around the country during football season.
“We are thrilled to partner with UberEATS on this groundbreaking opportunity,” Gulls President of Business Operations Matt Savant said in a statement. “We are proud to be the first professional sports franchise to offer UberEATS technology in arena. This new interactive technology will give Gulls fans a look at the future of in-arena dining, and we are proud to be the first team to offer this experience to our fans in San Diego.”

Fans can now have options such as Cali ComfortBBQ, Rockin’ Baja Lobster, Pizza Port, Loaded Dogs and General Concessions delivered directly to their seat at the Valley View Casino Center via the UberEATS app.
Fans can download the app, confirm their location, select “In-Arena Deliver” and enter their row and seat number into the delivery notes.
For UberEATS, this could be the beginning or more sports partnerships where they try to acquire new users of their app.
“Gulls fans can now experience the same convenient, fast and reliable experience at the stadium as they do from the comfort of their own home thanks to this innovative new partnership,” Ben Story, UberEATS General Manager for San Diego said in a statement. “UberEATS is proud to partner with the Levy Restaurant Group and the Gulls.”
