VERT Launches First Multi-Appendage Intensity Tracker G-VERT

After initial partnerships with the likes of the Miami Heat and Auburn mens basketball program, wearable technology company VERT announced Thursday the formal rollout of its new multi-appendage intensity tracker G-VERT, the first ever to hit the market.

According to VERT President and Founder, Martin Matak, with the launch of G-VERT, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based company is “paving the way for wearables 2.0.”

“Consumers want real numbers and real performance measurements that professionals use,” Matak said in a statement.

“Our new app is engaging and easily displays data consumers want to know from their activity. You can see how hard you worked, the stress you put on your body, how efficient or how intense; something step counters can’t provide.”

Next week at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) debut in Las Vegas, VERT will product-demo G-VERT, which measures power, kinetic energy, jump analytics, G-force and other information as an athlete wears the product around his or her waist. The information is then sent in real-time to the VERT app for analysis pre- or post-workout, with the ultimate goal of preventing injury and strain on the body.

During last years NCAA Division I Womens Volleyball Championship, VERT had the first piece of wearable technology used during an NCAA championship game. As select players wore a jump monitoring device, the broadcasters could supplement the telecast with additional jump height data and color commentary.
