Watch The Great One Interview Great Fans

During the Stanley Cup Final this week, the NHL will be streaming interviews between Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky and famous fans as part of a multi-platform video series called The Great One on One. Gretzky’s chat with David Boreanaz (whose credits include Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and who is also a Flyers fan) debuted on Tuesday, his interview with Jon Hamm (Don Draper from Mad Men, and Blues fan) will run on Thursday, and the final episode, with Taylor Kitsch (the title role in John Carter, former Red Wings and now Lightning fan), will be available on Sunday.

“I love to meet fans who have passion for the game,” Gretzky said in a statement about the series. “Jon, Taylor and David are longtime hockey fans that know so much about this great game. This is a fun opportunity to learn about the stories of their fandom and the role the sport plays in the lives of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.”

The Great One has the chance to ask the three Hollywood stars about their own fandom, while they can ask him for an insider’s view of the game. Each episode will stream from the league’s website, YouTube channel, as well as the NHL’s other social media channels. A new series with more episodes will launch in time for the start of the 2018-19 season.
