Uproar PR Partners with We Are Wearables and 1871 to focus on how wearables are changing the world of sports
Chicago – August 15, 2016 – Uproar PR, in partnership with We Are Wearables,Rithmio and 1871, announces its latest We Are Wearables Chicago event that will focus on the intersection of wearable technology and sports. On Tuesday, August 16from 6-9 p.m., those interested in Chicago’s emerging wearable market will gather for the Wearable Tech & Sports in partnership with Rithmio meetup. The event will feature product demos, presentations and the “How Wearable Tech is Changing Sports” panel discussion. The panel will include expert commentary from:
- Adam Tilton, CEO and co-founder of Rithmio, a motion recognition software company that measures and manages movement through wearables and connected clothing
- Boden Westover, director of marketing for Catapult, a sports analytics engine that uses wearable technology to assimilate data into useful metrics for athletes
- Jeff Kahn, CEO of Rise Science, a sleep analytics technology company that provides Sleep Coaching for elite athletic teams
“We’re excited to stand alongside other great Chicago-based sports technology companies and share our experience and expertise with the area’s burgeoning entrepreneurs,” said Tilton. “Partnering with Uproar, 1871 and We Are Wearables has been a great experience so far, and we’re anticipating a fantastic event.”
The event will feature a demo area open before and after the presentations and panels taking place from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Products from panel participants Rithmio and Catapult will be available to attendees as well as demonstrations of Turfmapp, an app to find soccer near you, and RockMyRace, a mobile technology that creates a customized journey for competitive athletes, helping them achieve their best race experience possible.
