As society moves into a more digital age, athletes have been gravitating toward new technology to analyze and improve their performance. For instance, companies have designed new wearable technology for fitness tracking and step counting. But even though this technology seems useful, there’s an underlying fact about them: these wearables stop being worn within six months of use.
Zepp Labs has found a way to provide data to help users improve by giving athletes a more detailed and customized report of athletic performance through their newest update to their mobile app, Zepp Insights.
Zepp Insights, which was unveiled last week, is a cutting-edge program that analyzes every swing a user takes, and develops a custom report, which is sent directly to their app each week. The customized report does much more than simply tracking golf or hitting swings. The report recommends drills to improve a user’s performance, helping users focus on individual areas of improvement, “providing a smarter, more personalized training experience.”
This update comes with the use of the Zepp Sensor, the wearable device that presents users with its recorded data. Zepp Sensors are used in multiple sports, including baseball, softball, and golf. The new update goes even deeper into analysis, by providing not only numbers from the sensor, but also 3D and video analysis.
“Our goal is to provide analysis that not only collects numbers from the sensor, but offers ways to improve those numbers through content in our app,” said Jason Fass, Chief Executive Officer of Zepp Labs, in a press release.
“We’re turning data into actual coachable intelligence.”
