A LOOK BACK
Internazionali Di Tennis Citta Di Vicenza (Vicenza, Italy): Marton Fucsovics of Hungary fought off two championship points to take the title over seventh seed Laslo Djere of Serbia 4-6, 7-6(7), 6-2. Djere held a match point while serving at 6-5 in the second set and another at 7/6 in the tie-break, but Fucsovics fought back to prevail in two hours and 21 minutes.
The 25-year-old Hungarian is the second player to save match points in an ATP Challenger Tour final this year, joining Yuichi Sugita, who saved two in Yokohama. He also showed his mental toughness throughout the week by rallying from a set down in three matches. This is the third Challenger title for Fucsovics and his first since 2013.
Djere drops to 0-4 in Challenger finals, all of which have come on clay. The 22-year-old Serbian reached two Challenger finals in Italy last year (Cortina and Milan).
A LOOK AHEAD
Two long-standing and respected Challenger events return to the calendar this week. The grass-court season kicks off with the $150,000 event in Surbiton, Great Britain, which is back for the 14th year. Past champions include Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Mardy Fish. All eight seeds are inside the Top 100 of the Emirates ATP Rankings. Local favourite Daniel Evans is the top seed and former Top 10 player Marcos Baghdatis is the second seed. A pair of #NextGenATP players, Russian Danill Medvedev and Korean Hyeon Chung, are the third and fourth seeds, respectively.

The $150,000 tournament in Prostejov, Czech Republic, celebrates its 24th consecutive year. Past champions include Radek Stepanek, Guillermo Coria and Karol Kucera. All eight seeds are also ranked inside the Top 100. Martin Klizan of Slovakia is the top seed and local favourite Jiri Vesely is the second seed. Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia is the third seed and Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan is the fourth seed.
Rounding out the draw are former Top 5 player Tommy Robredo, former World No. 10 Ernests Gulbis and former World No. 13 Jerzy Janowicz. Robredo and Janowicz will square off in the first round.
