Top seeds Henri Kontinen and John Peers headline a strong doubles field on the grass at Wimbledon. The Finnish-Australian duo haven’t won a title since taking their first Grand Slam crown at the Australian Open, but will look to change that when they open their campaign against Italian duo Fabio Fognini and Andreas Seppi.
Defending champions and second seeds Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut have a difficult first round against Roland Garros finalists Santiago Gonzalez and Donald Young. Herbert/Mahut prevailed earlier this year at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event in Rome.
Looming in their quarter of the draw are fifth seeds and three-time Wimbledon champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, who start their fortnight against Australian duo Marc Polmans and Andrew Whittington. The Bryans have also been runners-up at this event on four occasions.
