Shenzhen Open – Shenzhen, China Tomas Berdych, David Goffin, Jiri Vesely and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez were among the stars to attend the players’ party at Shangri-la Hotel. Berdych and Goffin, the top two seeds, also learned the art of calligraphy at the event.  Elsewhere, Goffin learned to make traditional Chinese dishes during a private cooking lesson. Djokovic Withdraws From China Open

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been forced to withdraw from next week's China Open in Beijing due to an elbow injury. “I am very sad not to be able to compete at the China Open this year. I am still recovering from my elbow injury and have been advised not to play tournaments until my condition improves and allows me to compete. Gasquet Tears Through Shenzhen Opener; Jaziri Ousts Goffin

Third seed Richard Gasquet tore through his Shenzhen Open second round on Wednesday, dismissing qualifier Andrew Whittington 6-1, 6-0 in just 51 minutes. The Frenchman lost only eight points on serve and broke Whittington five times as he sealed his 27th win of the season. After a breakthrough week on the ATP Challenger Tour, Renzo Olivo is on the verge of achieving yet another milestone: reaching the Top 100 of the Emirates ATP Rankings. The 24 year old from Argentina won his first Challenger at last week’s $40,000 event in Santos, Brazil. Dimitrov Celebrates 200th Win In Chengdu

Third seed Grigor Dimitrov clinched his 200th tour-level victory on Wednesday at the Chengdu Open as he defeated Dusan Lajovic 7-6(1), 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals.
