It’s rare enough to win a match after saving match point, but Lucas Pouille did this in truly thrilling fashion against Jan-Lennard Struff on Wednesday at the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart. Pouille squandered two match points trying to serve out the contest at 6-5 in the deciding set, and another pair at 6/5 and 7/6 in the final-set tie-break. With Struff serving at 8/7, the Frenchman tracked down a brilliant drop shot and then flicked back two reflex volleys.
