Bryan Brothers Storm To Atlanta Title

Top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan got their American hard-court swing off to a flying start, taking the doubles title at the BB&T Atlanta Open with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Wesley Koolhof and Artem Sitak. “After a tough first-round which we could have lost, I thought we played really well,” said Mike. "It's always so nice to play in a city that really appreciates doubles. We could feel the love and support all week and it carried us though. Isner Prevails For Fourth Atlanta Title

Second seed John Isner reigned supreme once again at the BB&T Atlanta Open, saving set point in both sets to pick up a 7-6(6), 7-6(7) win over fourth seed and fellow American Ryan Harrison. “It was a battle. This tournament has meant everything to me,” said Isner. “This is always going to be my favourite time of year. I seem to play well in America every single year, so I couldn’t have asked for a better start.” Isner, who also prevailed last week in Newport (d. Ebden), earned his fourth title in Atlanta (2013-2015, 2017). He has reached the final in seven...

All-American Final Set For Atlanta

In a battle of big servers, John Isner again looked nearly impeccable on serve on Saturday at the BB&T Atlanta Open. The second seed blitzed past the third-seeded Gilles Muller 6-4, 6-2 in just 75 minutes to reach his seventh Atlanta final in the past eight years. Isner claimed his seventh consecutive win and again didn't drop serve, erasing all four break points. The 6'10” American has now held for 69 straight service games, dating back to his title run last week at the Dell Technologies Hall of Fame Open in Newport. “It was a very good match. Absolutely nothing to complain about today. On and off the court in pretty quick fashion and I certainly will be ready to...
