Sanchez Vicario Announces 'Casper Tour' To Honour Former Student

Emilio Sanchez Vicario and Feliciano Lopez announced on Tuesday the creation of the 2018 Casper Tour, a series of junior tennis events being held to honour the life of Casper Fernandez, a student at Academia Sánchez-Casal in Florida who passed away last July after a battle against bone cancer at the age of 16. “The Casper Tour is a tour born from tragedy. Successful Kids' Day Supports More Than 400 Children In Budapest

The Gazprom Hungarian Open, a 2018 ATP ACES For Charity grant recipient, held a successful kids' day Wednesday in Budapest, benefitting more than 400 children. The tournament also donated three junior-sized sports wheelchairs, which kids used to play tennis with the help of wheelchair tennis instructors and ATP World Tour pros. ATP Stars Support Stoneman Douglas HS Players

The Miami Open presented by Itau and ATP World Tour stars welcomed members of the boys' and girls' tennis teams from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for Saturday's evening session, which was called 'Marjory Stoneman Douglas Night' to honour the survivors of a shooting on 14 February in which 17 students and teachers from the school lost their lives.  Kevin Anderson, Tournament Director James Blake, Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan, Michael Chang, Hyeon Chung, Steve Johnson, Karen Khachanov, Nick Kyrgios, Michael Mmoh, Sam Querrey, Diego Schwartzman, Denis Shapovalov and Alexander Zverev joined members of the WTA Tour with the students on court before play began in a sign of support, and spent time off the court getting to know the teenagers as well.
