Pablo Cuevas and Horacio Zeballos nullified the serving threat of Gilles Muller and Sam Querrey for a 6-4, 6-4 win in 73 minutes on Thursday at the BNP Paribas Open. The Uruguayan-Argentinean duo will next face two-time former champions and seventh seeds Bob and Mike Bryan in the semi-finals. Bryans Record 40th Match Win In Indian Wells, Into SFs

Two-time former champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan recorded their 40th match win at the BNP Paribas Open (40-16) on Wednesday for a place in the semi-finals. The seventh-seeded American twins were made to work for their 7-5, 6-1 victory over Marcus Daniell and Diego Schwartzman, saving nine of 10 break points in the 65-minute encounter. The Bryans initially recovered from a 1-3 deficit and from 5-5 in the first set they won seven straight games. The Bryans, who will next meet Pablo Cuevas and Horacio Zeballos or Gilles Muller and Sam Querrey, lifted the Indian Wells title in 2013 (d. Huey/Janowicz) and 2014 (d. Peya/Soares). Lopez/Lopez Reach Indian Wells QFs; Doubles Seeds Fall

Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez knocked out sixth seeds Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau 6-4, 7-6(5) in one hour and 41 minutes on Monday at the BNP Paribas Open. At 5-6 in the second set, Lopez and Lopez saved three match points in recovering from 15/40 before edging a tight tie-break. Rojer, who has 349 match wins, and Tecau won the recent Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships title (d. Cerretani/Paes). Former champions Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert swept into the BNP Paribas Open second round on Sunday when the fifth seeds defeated Damir Dzumhur and Filip Krajinovic 6-1, 6-2 in just 46 minutes. From 1-1 in the first set, the French pair won nine straight games to a 4-0 advantage in the second set. They lost just nine of their service points. Two years ago, Mahut and Herbert captured their first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells with a 6-3, 7-6(5) victory over Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock in the final.
