2018 Next Gen ATP Finals To Continue To Innovate

Following the success of the inaugural Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan in 2017, the second edition of the tournament, taking place at Fiera Milano from November 6-10, will continue to trial a best-of-five set format, shorter sets to 4 (tie-break at 3-All), No-Ad scoring, and No-Lets, the ATP announced on Tuesday at a press conference at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome.   Other innovations such as Electronic Line Calling through Hawk-Eye Live, a 25-second Shot Clock, In-Match player coaching via head-sets will also be back for the second edition. Best ATP Challenger Tour Tournaments Of 2017

The ATP has announced the 2017 ATP Challenger Tournaments of the Year, with players voting two of their favourite Challenger Tour stops in Germany (Braunschweig and Heilbronn) and one in Canada (Vancouver) from the 155 tournaments in 41 countries staged last year. The Challenger Tournament of the Year awards recognise excellence in standards set across the global Challenger Tour. Braunschweig’s 24-year-old Sparkassen OPEN has won the award every year since 2014 and has long been a player favourite. Federer Smashes Records In Return To No. 1

ATP Announces 2019 ATP World Tour Calendar

The ATP has released the 2019 ATP World Tour calendar, a tournament schedule that will feature 63 tournaments in 31 countries across six continents, in addition to the four Grand Slams. The 2019 calendar offers a continuation of the existing tournament structure and schedule that, since 2009, has so successfully served as a global platform for the world’s greatest men’s professional tennis players, leading to record growth for the Tour, tournaments and players over the past decade.
