Damir Dzumhur notched his first ATP World Tour match win of the season on Monday after he felled former Memphis Open finalist Kevin Anderson in the first round. The unseeded Bosnian had fallen three times in his opening match in 2017 but eked out a 6-7(6), 7-6(2), 6-4 victory over the South African. He played fewer tournaments than usual, missing weeks of the season because of knee, ankle and shoulder injuries. He finished with a losing record, 17-21, for the first time since 2010.
