Murray Clinches Year-End No. 1 In Emirates ATP Rankings

Andy Murray has clinched year-end No. 1 in the Emirates ATP Rankings, the 17th different player to do so in history (since 1973). The milestone was achieved in dramatic fashion on Sunday when he beat his rival for top spot, Novak Djokovic, 6-3, 6-4 in the title match of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 in London. ATP And Tecnifibre Extend Partnership

The ATP and French tennis equipment manufacturer Tecnifibre have announced a three-year extension of their partnership. The agreement sees Tecnifibre continue as a Silver Partner of the ATP World Tour through to 2020. The Paris-based global manufacturer will continue to produce the Official Racquet, String, Bag and Accessories of the ATP World Tour, and will remain a Silver Partner of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals as well as the official stringing service of the tournament. Murray & Soares Clinch Year-End No. 1 Emirates ATP Doubles Team Ranking

The first-year pairing of Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares has clinched the year-end No. 1 Emirates ATP Doubles Team Ranking. Murray and Soares join Grant Connell and Patrick Galbraith (1993), and Jonas Bjorkman and Todd Woodbridge (2001) to claim the honour in their first season together. More than seven years after he first ranked No. 2, Great Britain’s Andy Murray will take over the No. 1 position in the Emirates ATP Rankings on Monday, replacing Novak Djokovic, who has held the top spot since 7 July 2014. Murray will now battle Djokovic for the coveted year-end No. 1 at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
