Dimitrov Through After Goffin Accident

Grigor Dimitrov has reached his first ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament final after David Goffin was forced to retire on Saturday with an eye injury. ”We had such a great battle,” Dimitrov said. “Playing David always excites me and I always like to compete against him… just very unfortunate today.” Dimitrov moves into Sunday’s final, where he will meet top seed Roger Federer, who ousted lucky loser Andreas Seppi in straight sets. Dimitrov trails Federer in their FedEx ATP Head2Head series 0-6, and a final encounter against Seppi would mark their first meeting. Marach/Pavic Continue Unbeaten Streak

Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic reached their fourth final of the 2018 ATP World Tour season at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament after beating Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau 6-1, 6-3 on Saturday. The second seeds won their 17th straight match to start 2018, beating their opponents in just 55 minutes. The duo won 82 per cent of points on serve and broke the 2015 champions on four occasions to move into the final. Marach and Pavic won their first three tournaments of the season in Doha, Auckland and Melbourne Park.
