Kokkinakis Kicks Off Comeback In Bordeaux

Thanasi Kokkinakis labels the past 18 months of his career as a “rollercoaster”. That’s a slight understatement as the Australian has endured a brutal battle with injuries. “It feels good, it’s been a while,” stated Kokkinakis. “I played my last proper ATP World Tour match in October 2015 (in Valencia), I just can’t wait to get onto the singles court really. The biggest target is to stay healthy. Thompson, Kokkinakis Claim First Doubles Title

Next Gen ATP star Thanasi Kokkinakis made a dream return to the ATP World Tour when he teamed with fellow Australian Jordan Thompson to win the Brisbane International presented by Suncorp title Sunday. The players, who ironically will play against each other in the first round of next week's Apia International Sydney, both claimed their first tour-level doubles title with a 7-6(7), 6-4 win over first-time team Gilles Muller and Sam Querrey.
